The Bachelor of Design is also referred to as B. Des or B. Design is an undergraduate academic degree in the field of Design.

Kerala State Institute of Design commenced the undergraduate level course, in the year 2020 approved by KTU (Kerala Technical University). The total strength of the B. Des program is 30 students per batch.

The entire duration of the B. Des program would be for four years comprising eight semesters. The thrilling path of the creative designer progresses from basic foundational courses, a two-year experience stretched over four semesters. This is where the seeds of aspiration to expand the practice for the next two years are sown. This realm goes beyond disciplinary borders and introduces some ideas that are significant to the world of design.

Students are encouraged to pursue their own interests, with design thinking, problem solving, creativity, and innovation as essential talents. After the successful completion of the introductory level, our students will be able to pursue their interests in the fundamental design fields of Product Design, Textile and Apparel Design, and Communication Design streams.
