PROBLEM SOLVING THROUGH DESIGN SPRINT :
Developed at Google in 2010 by Jake Knapp, Design Sprint is a tool which uses Creative thinking and Design thinking to arrive at solutions. Design sprints encourage original thinking through experimentation and iteration. Because of their focus on brainstorming, creativity, sketching and prototyping, it is possible to explore ideas that would typically be rejected by organisations out of hand. Prototyping and sketching also reduces the cost of failure.
Design Sprint has been refined and customized by various organisations for their needs. In today’s world where fast disruptions do not give any organisations the luxury of time, Design Sprint is a tool used to tackle problems faced in the business/management front. The Design Talk-3 was an introduction to the Design Sprint process perfected by EY at their innovation hub, in Trivandrum. The Talk was given by Shri Rohit K Mathew, senior UX Architect and Consultant at EY, Trivandrum.
