On the 4 th of September Kerala State Institute of Design celebrated the Inauguration Day of the new B. Des batch of 2023 with great enthusiasm and energy. The event marked the commencement of a new academic year welcoming fresh faces to the college community.
The event began with a warm welcome address from Dr. Manoj Kumar Kini, Principal, KSID. He emphasized the importance of design education and the unique opportunities that KSID offers in the field of design. The event continued with the presidential address of Dr. Veena N Madhavan IAS, Managing Director, KASE who inaugurated the ceremony with a traditional lamp lighting. Dr. G Shankar, Chairman of Habitat Technology Group, a successful architect and winner of 3 national awards for green architecture, slum resettlement, and eco city design was the guest speaker of the event, who shared his journey and valuable life lessons with the students through motivating the newcomers to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals. Mr. Paul K. John Founder & and CEO of Memory Train Creatives, Ernakulam was also a speaker of the event.
The event was felicitated by Mr. Vinod T.V, Chief Operating Officer KASE. The event ended with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Lekshmy S S, faculty, and B. Des in charge at KSID.
