With great pride, KSID successfully hosted the India Fashion Summit 2018 in association with India Fashion Incubator on March 3rd 2018 at Hotel Marriott Cochin. The event proved to be a great success for the institute in terms of uplifting the profile of KSID and positioning it on a national and perhaps even an international platform. Eminent designers, brand heads, and academicians and students from across the state attended the summit. Globally renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra, designers Arjun Khanna, Wendell Rodricks, Peter D’Ascoli; Creative Head Amazon Fashion Shri Narendra Kumar; Anil Chopra, former CEO Lakme Lever Ltd; Ms. Sumita Ghose, Founder and Managing Director Rangsutra; academicians Prof. Sreekumar G V, Head IDC IIT Mumbai, Prof. Krishna Amin Patel, Head NID Gandhinagar, Dr. Toolika Gupt Director IICD Jaipur, were some of the eminent speakers who participated in the event. The event was presided over and inaugurated by Shri Tom Jose IAS, Additional Chief Secretary Labour and Skills, Government of Kerala. Dr. Sriram Venkitaraman IAS, Managing Director KASE, and, Executive Director KSID were also speakers of the event.
